Long Island Feline Adoption Center, Inc
a 501 ( C ) ( 3 ) Non-Profit
Located on a 65-acre wildlife preserve, the Long Island Feline Adoption Center Texas Sanctuary was first populated by senior cats from the adoption center on Long Island. The sanctuary consists of a 3,000 SF building customized to emulate a house, furnished, heated and air conditioned. The 10,000 SF outdoor yard is fully protected against native predators (coyotes, bobcat, and birds of prey). Chain link fence not only defines the perimeter, but also is used as a 12' ceiling, and is buried around the perimeter so no industrious critter can dig under the fence. A finer fencing at the base prevents snakes from entering. The yard is fully treed, has lawn furniture, and numerous outdoor cat houses for those who prefer to rest outdoors.
